Staff Nurse – Pre-Assessment

Plymouth Hospital | Pre-Assessment | Permanent contract | Part-time

Up to £33,500 per annum (pro-rata), depending on skills and experience

30 hours per week

As a Staff Nurse in our hospital, you’ll be attentive, focused, detail-oriented, and empathetic. You’re registered with the appropriate governing body, such as the NMC, and you bring the relevant qualifications and experience. With post-registration experience, you’re a team player with a passion for exceptional patient care.

As a Pre-Assessment Staff Nurse, you will:

• Be part of a close-knit team delivering matron-led care in a consultant-led service.
• Work as the first point of contact, collaborating with professionals to make accurate assessments for patients prior to surgery.
• Demonstrate broad knowledge and assessment skills to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Fully understand and support the needs of each patient and their family.
• Offer comfort and reassurance, providing the highest standards of care.
• Build your experience across new practices, equipment, and facilities.
• Collaborate with practitioners in other areas, recognizing that continuity of patient care is essential.

Nuffield Health Plymouth Hospital.

The Nuffield Health Plymouth Hospital is located next to the Nuffield Health Devonshire Gym in Derriford, Plymouth. We have been part of the Plymouth community since 1971. Our facilities include 3 main theatres (2 laminar flow and 1 digital), a fully JAG-accredited endoscopy suite, a 35-bed ward with one 4-bed bay and one 2-bed bay, and an outpatient department with 12 consulting rooms, including a dedicated ophthalmology suite and ENT service.

We perform treatments across various specialties, including Orthopaedics, Plastic Surgery, and Neurosurgery. Recently, we were rated among the top 50 hospitals in the country for total hip replacement patient outcomes.
