As a Staff Nurse in our hospital, you'll be attentive, focused, detail-oriented, and empathetic. You're registered with the appropriate governing body, and you bring the qualifications and experience relevant to your registration, including NMC. With post-registration experience, you're a team player with a passion for exceptional patient care.

As a Pre-Assessment Staff Nurse, you will:

1. Be part of a close-knit team delivering matron-led care in a consultant-led service
2. Work with leading professionals to make accurate assessments for patients prior to surgery
3. Demonstrate a broad knowledge base and assessment skills to ensure patient care
4. Fully understand and support the needs of each patient and their family
5. Offer comfort and reassurance, providing the highest standards of care
6. Build your experience across new practices, equipment, and facilities
7. Collaborate with practitioners in other areas, understanding that continuity in patient care is key

Nuffield Health Plymouth Hospital

The Nuffield Health Plymouth Hospital is situated next to the Nuffield Health Devonshire Gym, in Derriford, Plymouth. We have been part of the Plymouth community since 1971. Our facilities include 3 main theatres (2 laminar flow and 1 digital), a fully JAG-accredited endoscopy suite, a 35-bedded ward with one 4-bed bay and one 2-bed bay, and 12 outpatient consulting rooms with a dedicated ophthalmology suite and ENT service.

We carry out treatments across specialties including Orthopaedics, Plastic Surgery, and Neurosurgery. Recently, we were rated in the top 50 hospitals nationally for our total hip replacement patient outcomes.
