Job summary

Nuffield Health Hereford Hospital is seeking a Staff Nurse for Pre-Assessment to join our consultant-led service. You will be registered with the NMC and play a key role in assessing patients before their surgery, ensuring high standards of care and patient safety.

We offer up to £40,000 per annum, 37.5 hours per week with possible part-time arrangements, and a benefits package including free gym membership, health assessments, retail discounts and pension options.

Qualifications

• Must be registered with the NMC and eligible to practise.
• Post-registration experience in a hospital setting preferred.
• Ability to work as part of a team to deliver high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities

• Be part of a close-knit team delivering matron-led care in a consultant-led service.
• As the first point of contact you will assess patients prior to surgery to determine needs.
• Demonstrate broad knowledge and assessment skills to ensure patient safety.
• Understand and support the needs of each patient and their family.
• Offer comfort and reassurance while maintaining high standards of care.
• Develop experience across new practices, equipment and facilities.

• Work with practitioners in other areas, understanding that continuity in patient care is key
