Job summary

Nuffield Health Hospital Hereford is seeking an Outpatients Staff Nurse on a bank, part-time basis. You will join a consultant-led service delivering high quality outpatient care across multiple surgical specialties.

You will be registered with the NMC, skilled in venipuncture and ECG, and able to communicate effectively with surgeons and anesthetists. A supportive team environment and patient-centered care are central to the role.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with current NMC registration.
• Outpatient or surgical ward experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and patient-care skills.

Responsibilities

• As Outpatients Staff Nurse, assist patients post-operation across multiple specialties.
• Perform venipuncture and ECG recording as part of routine assessments.
• Maintain professional communication with consultants and anesthetists.
• Provide comfort, reassurance and high-standard care to patients and families.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care.

As a Outpatients Staff Nurse, you will:Dealing with patients have have undergone a variety of operations including Orthopedic, General Surgery , Colorectal , Urological , Gynaecology , Cosmetic and Plastic surgery .You will be familiar with Venipuncture , ECG recording and demonstrate good communication skills.Computer skills and professionalism in communicating with Consultant Surgeons and Anesthetists is essentialBe part of a close-knit team delivering matron led care in a consultant-led serviceFully understand and support the needs of each patient and their familyOffer comfort and reassurance, providing the highest standards of careBuild your experience across new practices, equipment and facilitiesWork with practitioners in other areas, understanding that continuity in patient care is key
