Job overview

We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated staff nurse to join our new ambulatory cardiac treatment unit.

You will be working alongside the Cardiology team and the Specialist Heart Failure Nurses to provide ambulatory care to Newham heart failure patients.

In conjunction with the Cardiology and Heart Failure Teams, the post holder will support the ongoing delivery of high quality care as well as the development of the Newham Hearts Ambulatory Treatment Service (HEARTS-NUH), initially providing heart failure patients with IV iron infusions for symptomatic relief and IV Furosemide, providing potential admission avoidance treatment to Heart Failure patients.

Main duties of the job

The postholder will play an important role in the management of people with Heart Failure within the London Borough of Newham, who will need timely intervention for symptom management. They will be expected to provide excellent care for patients which may include communication with distressed and anxious patients and relatives, treating them with tact and empathy, ensuring the professional image of the Trust is maintained at all times. You should be flexible, enthusiastic and passionate and an excellent communicator.
