Job summary

CNWL NHS Foundation Trust in Hillingdon is seeking a District Nurse Team Leader (Band 7) for a 9-month secondment to cover maternity leave. You will lead a District Nursing team, manage a GP-attached caseload, and drive service development in a busy community setting.

The role requires DNSPQ qualification, substantial district nursing experience at Band 6 or above, and strong leadership and teaching skills. Flexible working and mentoring support are offered within CNWL’s integrated care network.

Qualifications

• NMC registration as an adult nurse is required.
• Degree level or higher education is expected.
• Qualifications in public health or community health are desirable.
• Teaching qualification or progress towards one is welcome.

Responsibilities

• Lead District Nursing team to deliver high quality patient care.
• Manage a clinical caseload and oversee community nursing activities.
• Develop and review care plans with multidisciplinary teams.
• Drive engagement, training, and supervision within the team.
• Support change management and implement new initiatives.
