Job summary

University Hospitals Dorset Poole Hospital is seeking a dynamic Outpatient nurse to join the Outpatient Nursing Team on a 9-month secondment (part time 35.5 hours over 4 days). Experience in surgical procedures and wound care is desirable.

The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent interpersonal and organisational skills and a commitment to delivering a high standard of care for our patients. Interview on 19 October and salary £32,073 - £39,043 pro rata.

Qualifications

• Registration on Part 1 or 12 of the NMC Register (RGN/RN Adult) or equivalent.
• Diploma or Degree in a relevant subject and evidence of ability to teach in practice.
• Mentoring and Assessing course completed

Responsibilities

• Provide wound care including complex dressings and wound management.
• Supervise and mentor students and unqualified staff.
• Work within a multidisciplinary team and maintain patient documentation.
• Take charge of an area in the absence of the senior nursing staff.
