Job summary

FHFT Education Academy, Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust, is recruiting a Staff Nurse for the Discharge Lounge at Frimley Park Hospital. The role focuses on patient flow, safe discharge and collaboration with the multidisciplinary team to optimise care during transition.

We welcome newly qualified nurses and offer preceptorship, mentoring and development to support growth. The position is full-time, 37.5 hours per week, on-site, with a 6-month secondment wherever applicable.

Qualifications

• Current UK NMC registration is required.
• Evidence of recent continuous professional development (CPD).
• Recent experience within an acute NHS healthcare setting.
• Educated to Nursing Degree level or working towards degree pathway.

Responsibilities

• Promote the use of the Discharge Lounge and identify suitable patients.
• Support ward staff to utilise the service and ensure patients' needs are met.
• Demonstrate excellent communication, clinical judgment and organisational skills.
• Work proactively to problem-solve in a fast-paced environment.
