Flamingo Ward is a busy 21-bedded Cardiac Intensive Care Unit caring for children and young people with complex heart and lung problems. Common conditions include pre- and post-operative patients with congenital heart disease, tracheal patients, and those in heart failure. We are a national centre for heart and lung transplants and also care for patients 'bridging to transplant' on Berlin Heart devices.
