Position Overview

We are seeking an enthusiastic individual with experience in community paediatric nursing, children's continence, and working in a special school setting.

The School Nursing Team provides healthcare to children with complex health needs at Perseid Special School. Responsibilities include health assessments, care plan management, emergency response, and staff training. The role involves collaboration with health professionals and school staff to support children's health and development.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Deliver high-quality nursing care within Perseid Special School across two campuses.
  2. Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to meet the health needs of children and young people.
  3. Conduct health assessments, develop care plans, and evaluate care effectiveness.
  4. Manage emergency situations and provide training to school staff.
  5. Support safeguarding procedures, attend meetings, and contribute to health promotion programs.
  6. Supervise and mentor student nurses and support staff.
  7. Utilize evidence-based practice and participate in clinical audits.
Qualifications and Skills

Experience in community paediatric nursing and working with children with complex health needs is essential. The candidate should adhere to NMC guidelines, demonstrate excellent communication skills, and be committed to safeguarding and promoting children's health.
