A leading healthcare provider in Aylesbury is seeking dedicated nursing staff for their Cancer Care & Haematology unit. The role involves working collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team, assessing patient care needs, and maintaining high standards of nursing care. Cancer Care & Haematologyunit is a friendly, caring and supportive day case chemotherapy unit where we combine clinical excellence with a high standard of care, using a holistic approach to achieve the best possible outcomes.
The unit treats a range of patients as day cases offering chemotherapy and supportive treatments to patients with oncology and haematology malignancies and non‑malignant haematological conditions. This is an excellent opportunity to join the team where the successful candidate can develop the skills and knowledge in cancer care; full support will be given to undertake the Chemotherapy Module.
You will be required to work across the site with Clinical Nurse Specialists and multi‑disciplinary team members within the Cancer Care and Haematology units and ward.
The post holder will be expected to liaise appropriately with all key members of the multi‑disciplinary team and service users related to the speciality.
The post holder is responsible for all aspects of care, including the assessment of care needs, planning and implementation/evaluation of care.
The post holder will be expected to carry out all relevant fundamentals forms of care with or without direct supervision, maintaining a high standard of nursing care within the framework of Trust policies and in accordance with guidelines as laid down by the NMC.
