We are currently looking for enthusiastic and motivated Band 5’s who have a passion for Emergency Nursing to join our friendly Emergency Department.
Please note that this post is for children’s Emergency Department.
It is desirable to have post registration experience in an acute care setting and have the resilience to meet the challenges of our busy but rewarding department, however we would also like to hear from newly qualified nurses or those who have worked in an acute setting prior or during training and have an interest in making this their career.
Newham Emergency Department serves a large diverse population and on average sees 400-500 patients a day, including acute medical patients, paediatrics, and patients in a mental health crisis.
We offer a structured orientation and ongoing support and guidance. We follow the RCN National Emergency Nursing Framework competencies. Our experienced PDN will support you to achieve your competencies at level 1, with a mapped pathway into our Emergency Care and Trauma courses at level 2.
