Job summary

Nuffield Health Wolverhampton Hospital is seeking a Bank Staff Nurse in Oncology to join our consultant- and nurse-led team. This ad-hoc, part-time role involves supporting chemotherapy patients and new treatments, with flexible hours Monday to Friday.

You must be registered with the NMC, have Oncology experience, and hold the SACT qualification. A bank position offers varied shifts and the chance to contribute to compassionate cancer care within a leading healthcare charity.

Responsibilities

• Be a valued addition to the team in our consultant and nurse-led service
• Work with patients receiving chemotherapy or new treatments, such as immunotherapy
• Fully assess each patient’s needs, providing tailored treatment plans and care
• Administer systemic anti-cancer therapies
• Assist consultants during clinics
• Provide care for Acute Oncological emergencies
• Access all central venous devices
• Have excellent phlebotomy skills

Bank Staff Nurse - Oncology

Wolverhampton Hospital | Oncology | Bank - Ad Hoc | Part Time

Up to £25.00 per hour depending on skills and experience

Working on the bank means you are not contracted to a set number of hours per week but instead work on an ad-hoc basis to suit the needs of the business and your availability.

Working flexible hours Monday to Friday, you'll be motivated to provide the highest standard of care.

As a Bank Staff Nurse in Oncology at our Wolverhampton Hospital, you're registered with the appropriate governing body and you bring the qualifications and experience relevant to your registration, including NMC. As well as post-registration experience, you have experience in Oncology and hold the SACT (systemic anti-cancer therapies) qualification.
