Job summary

Nuffield Health Wolverhampton Hospital is seeking a Bank Staff Nurse in Oncology to join a busy consultant- and nurse-led service. You will provide care for patients receiving chemotherapy or novel therapies, with emphasis on safe administration of systemic anti-cancer treatments and tailored patient plans.

The role requires NMC registration, post-registration oncology experience, and a SACT qualification. Flexible Monday–Friday hours, working on a bank basis with ad-hoc shifts.

Qualifications

• Registered with the NMC and hold nursing qualifications.
• Experience in Oncology and systemic anti-cancer therapies (SACT).
• Post-registration Oncology experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Be a valued addition to the team in Oncology nursing.
• Care for patients receiving chemotherapy or new treatments.
• Fully assess patient needs and tailor treatment plans and care.

Bank Staff Nurse - Oncology

Wolverhampton Hospital | Oncology | Bank - Ad Hoc | Part Time

Up to £ 25.00 per hour depending on skills and experience

Working on the bank means you are not contracted to a set number of hours per week but instead work on an ad-hoc basis to suit the needs of the business and your availability.

As a Bank Staff Nurse in Oncology at our Wolverhampton Hospital , you're registered with the appropriate governing body and you bring the qualifications and experience relevant to your registration, including NMC. As well as post-registration experience, you have experience in Oncology and hold the SACT (systemic anti-cancer therapies) qualification.

As an Bank Staff Nurse -Oncology you will:

• Be a valued addition to the team in our consultant and nurse-led service
• Work with patients receiving chemotherapy or new treatments, such as immunotherapy
• Fully assess each patient's needs, providing tailored treatment plans and care
• Administer systemic anti-cancer therapies
• Assist consultants during clinics
• Provide care for Acute Oncological emergencies
• Access all central venous devices
• Have excellent phlebotomy skills
• Helping you feel good.
