Job summary

NHS Borders is seeking a Staff Nurse (Band 5) for East Brig, Tweed Road, Galashiels. The post is permanent and part-time at 30 hours per week, located in a 10-bed rehabilitation unit for patients with severe mental illness.

You will deliver individualised treatment and recovery plans, working with the MDT to support patients returning home. Suitability for experienced or newly qualified staff is welcomed, with pro-rata pay for part-time hours.

East Brig is a 10 bedded rehabilitation unit for people with severe and enduring mental illness. We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated Registered Nurse (band 5) to join our established multi-disciplinary team. You would be responsible for delivering comprehensive, individualised treatment and recovery plans which support patients to return home. The successful candidate will work closely with the MDT and 3rd sector agencies, advocating on behalf of patients, promoting a collaborative and recovery orientated focus throughout. If you are flexible , resourceful, have excellent verbal/ written communication skills and aspire to deliver exceptional standards of care we would be very interested in hearing from you. This post would suitable for both experienced and newly qualified staff

Please note: the salary quoted is for full-time hours (36 hrs per week). For appointments to part-time hours, the salary will be pro-rata.
