Can you support your Ward Manager and Medical team to provide excellent inpatient care for our patients and support your nursing colleagues along the way?

About the Role

Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a compassionate, motivated, and proactive Staff Nurse to join our Acute Inpatient Services team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to high-quality, holistic mental health care within a dynamic and supportive multidisciplinary environment.

About Ashurst Ward

Ashurst ward is an 11-bedded male psychiatric intensive care unit. We are looking for an enthusiastic staff nurse with a caring, non-judgmental, and inclusive attitude, committed to delivering safe, quality care. Experience in an acute setting is an advantage but not essential, as we will provide all necessary training.

Responsibilities
  1. Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualised care plans.
  2. Support the day-to-day running of the ward and lead shifts when required.
  3. Provide clinical supervision and mentoring to junior staff and students.
  4. Promote safe discharge planning and continuity of care.
  5. Engage with service evaluation and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
