Job summary

The Lister Hospital in Chelsea, London, is seeking a dedicated Staff Nurse to join our Medical & Surgical Ward. This full-time position offers a 37.5-hour week with shifts rotating across long days, nights and weekends, in a permanent role.

As part of HCA Healthcare UK, you will deliver compassionate, evidence-based care, work within a multidisciplinary team, and contribute to high-quality patient outcomes in a private hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with valid NMC registration.
• Experience in a surgical ward is required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organisational and clinical decision-making abilities.
• Commitment to delivering outstanding patient care.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, evidence-based nursing care to medical and surgical patients.

• Administer medications and treatments per hospital policies and NMC standards.
• Maintain accurate and contemporaneous patient records.
• Collaborate with consultants and the wider multidisciplinary team.
• Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families.
• Ensure compliance with infection prevention and clinical governance standards.
• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and service development.
• Advocate for patients with dignity, respect and compassion.
