An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 5 Staff Nurseat Darlington Memorial Hospital. The post willbe based in the Cardiac Day Unit andwill give the successful candidate the opportunity to develop both knowledgeand skills, caring for patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional Caridologyprocedures.

The Unit prides itself on delivering the highest standardsof nursing care. The successful candidate willassist Medical Staff in the lab with patients who are undergoinginterventional and diagnostic procedures, e.g Pacemaker insertion, Angiography,Dobutamine Stress Echo and also provide both pre and post procedure care.

We provide hospital services from two acute sites - Darlington Memorial Hospital and University Hospital of North Durham. We have a centre for planned care in Bishop Auckland and provide care from community hospitals in Chester-le-Street, Shotley Bridge, Barnard Castle, Sedgefield and Weardale as well as over 80 other community based settings and providing care in patients' homes.

From April 9th 2025 - Healthcare assistants - You must have a minimum of two yearsof experience working within the NHS as a HCA for the Trust to considersponsorship (we will only consider sponsorship if you meet this criteria andhave a current visa expiring within 3 months)

To promote and engage in a nurse-led environmentensuring that care is delivered as per trust policies and procedures and inaccordance with evidence based practice in line with agreed national standardsfor clinical practice
