Ideal candidates will hold 1st Level NMC registration and possess the necessary skills to deliver comprehensive care, including medication management and patient assessments. Weare currently seeking a Registered Nurse to Join our Crook Community NursingTeam. The successful applicant will work across the Weardale locality from anoffice base in Crook. The team cover 8am until 9pm 7 days a week on a dutyroster. The role involves providing holistic nursing care to adult patients intheir own home or residential care setting. Sucessful applicants will berequired to hold a first level nursing registration with the NMC, additionaltraining specific to the role can be provided.
TheCommunity nursing team provide both planned and reactive care including UrgentCommunity Response.

We provide hospital services from two acute sites - Darlington Memorial Hospital and University Hospital of North Durham. We have a centre for planned care in Bishop Auckland and provide care from community hospitals in Chester-le-Street, Shotley Bridge, Barnard Castle, Sedgefield and Weardale as well as over 80 other community based settings and providing care in patients' homes.

From April 9th 2025 - Healthcare assistants - You must have a minimum of two yearsof experience working within the NHS as a HCA for the Trust to considersponsorship (we will only consider sponsorship if you meet this criteria andhave a current visa expiring within 3 months)
Thesucessful candidate will provide a variety of nursing care to patients;including wound care, administration of medication, palliative care, managementof bowel and catheter care. The role involves assessment of patient care needs,care planning, delivery of care and review. The sucessful candidate will berequired to work independently as part of the wider Nursing team reporting backto senior staff on duty.
