Job summary

Sony Interactive Entertainment in London seeks an independent Staff Machine Learning Engineer to join the Visual Computing Group. You will develop generative models for graphics and video processing, advancing live streaming and game rendering with state-of-the-art runtime efficiency and visual fidelity.

You will collaborate on publications and patents, lead technical developments, and work with cross‑team researchers to push R&D forward in a fast-paced, creative environment.

Qualifications

• PhD or MSc in CS/AI/Graphics or equivalent research experience.
• 7+ years of demonstrable research experience in industry or academia.
• Strong background in TensorFlow or PyTorch and Python for CV/graphics.
• Publications in top-tier conferences (CVPR/ECCV/ICCV/SIGGRAPH) or similar.
• Knowledge of neural network architectures and training on large datasets.

Responsibilities

• Develop and improve core generative models for graphics and video processing.
• Research and prototyping of new methods for graphics or video enhancement.
• Collaborate on drafting publications and patent submissions.
• Participate in core R&D work with other teams within Sony Interactive Entertainment.
