Job summary

Sony Interactive Entertainment Europe Limited in London is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to drive partial ownership of runtime ML inference software on PlayStation consoles, with hands-on coding and leadership responsibilities.

You will collaborate across global teams to shape technology strategies, define project scope, and mentor engineers, contributing to multiple generations of PlayStation hardware and software.

Qualifications

• At least 10 years of experience in a senior engineering role.
• Proven track record leading large engineering or game projects through design, implementation, release and maintenance.
• Excellent communication, organization and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with game console software development and tools.
• At least 5 years of experience with GPU programming; fluent in C/C++ and shader languages; solid understanding of GPU programming and low-level computing.
• Familiarity with machine learning is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Take partial ownership of the design and delivery of critical software components powering runtime ML inference on PlayStation consoles; hands-on with code implementation.
• Collaborate with internal and external groups across the globe to set company-level technology strategies and define project scope.
