Job summary

JetBrains in London is seeking a Staff Software Developer (IAM) to own authentication and authorization services underpinning our platform. You will work on identity, organizations, memberships, groups, and workspaces, delivering reliable, scalable production services.

The role requires 7+ years of JVM experience (Kotlin preferred) and strong DevOps knowledge in a distributed SaaS environment. You will contribute across the stack, review PRs, and collaborate with other platform teams.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of JVM development experience, preferably with Kotlin.
• Experience building and operating SaaS production services in a distributed, multi-tenant environment.
• Ability to navigate a modern devops stack: Kubernetes, OpenTelemetry, Grafana.
• Experience designing and evolving identity/authorization domain models.
• Proven track record of taking over and improving existing production services.

Responsibilities

• Own the entire SDLC: codebase, architecture, and operations.
• Maintain and evolve services in Kotlin and Go for reliability and performance at scale.
• Design and implement features across identity, organization, membership, group, and workspace domains.
• Review and integrate PRs from other platform teams.
• Manage integrations with other platform components and applications.
