Job summary

Arm is seeking a Staff Hardware AI Engineer in the United Kingdom to drive AI-powered automation across hardware design and verification. You will bridge hardware engineering expertise with AI tooling, partnering with Architects to deploy at-scale, transforming the daily workflow of Arm engineers.

You will contribute to AI-based automation across RTL, verification, and toolchains, delivering prototypes and facilitating rapid adoption through demos, guides, and cross-team collaboration.

Qualifications

• Hands-on RTL design/verification experience, debugging issues across compile and simulation flows.
• Domain knowledge of at least one major EDA vendor toolset.
• Practical experience using AI for engineering automation (prompt design, structured outputs, tooling).
• Strong ability to diagnose issues quickly and drive cross-team resolution.
• Clear written communication turning ambiguities into actionable requirements.

Responsibilities

• Contribute hands-on to AI-based solutions for hardware design and verification automation.
• Curate/develop solutions using OpenAI Codex skills and tool integrations (simulation flows, log analysis, code review support).
• Collaborate with Arm engineering teams to capture real struggles and turn into requirements.
• Build quick prototypes and evaluate EDA AI tools to validate feasibility and impact.
• Lead adoption with demos, onboarding guides, and removing blockers.
