Job summary

LEGO Group is seeking a Staff Engineer, Shopper Technology, to align engineering strategy with execution across a broad technology landscape supporting LEGO.com, memberships, order management, and payments. This permanent role reports to the VP of Shopper Technology and partners with Lead Engineers to deliver scalable, maintainable systems across product teams.

Qualifications

• Led engineering teams or domains in a senior role.
• Experience using AWS native services in large-scale production.
• Developed modern applications using TypeScript, Node.js, React, and Next.js.
• Led architectural decisions for distributed systems with multiple dependencies.

Responsibilities

• Define and evolve the shopper technology architecture across products and domains.
• Clarify system boundaries, contracts, dependencies, and technical direction.
• Enable collaboration, discovery, and decision-making across product teams.
• Drive engineering quality and best practices across a cluster of teams.
• Support adoption of AI engineering practices to improve delivery and collaboration.
• Build proof-of-concepts to validate new technologies and inform future investments.
