Job summary
Client Server is seeking a Staff Engineer / Principal Software Developer in London. Hybrid WFH to £120k.
You will lead the design and delivery of high impact technology projects, modernise legacy systems, migrate to AWS, and introduce modern CI/CD and cloud deployment practices, balancing hands-on coding with technical leadership. You’ll work alongside a collaborative team, enjoy problem solving, and engage with financial services clients to shape architecture, ensure quality, and deliver
Qualifications
- Experience in financial services or Fintech environments.
- Strong Java development with multithreading and concurrency.
- Experience with Spring Boot and microservices.
- Good knowledge of REST APIs.
- Strong AWS knowledge.
- Solid understanding of OOP, data structures and design patterns.
- Familiar with DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.
- Collaborative and client-facing.
Responsibilities
- Lead technical projects and client engagements from design through delivery.
- Develop scalable Java applications using Spring Boot and microservices.
- Modernise and migrate legacy systems to AWS.
- Design REST APIs and distributed systems.
- Introduce and improve CI/CD and DevOps practices.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to clients and engineering teams.
