Job summary

Wolt is seeking a Staff Engineer to lead and shape our shared infrastructure platform. You’ll own hard infrastructure problems, set technical direction for Kubernetes and cloud systems, and mentor engineers across the global organization.

In this role you’ll work on multi‑cluster Kubernetes, AWS, Terraform patterns and GitOps, collaborating with teams at Wolt, Deliveroo and DoorDash to scale AI/ML workloads and GPU infrastructure while balancing reliability, security and cost.

Qualifications

• Deep expertise in Kubernetes and AWS in production.
• Strong software engineering ability with Go or Python.
• Experience designing infrastructure used by multiple teams.

Responsibilities

• Set technical direction for shared Kubernetes and cloud infra.
• Lead large initiatives from design through rollout and operation.
• Mentor engineers and drive reliability, security and cost decisions.
• Evolve clusters, networking, and infrastructure provisioning.
• Build reusable patterns and self‑service tooling.
• Improve deployment, observability, and incident response.
