The Sous Chef at Baxter Storey will work hands on for the operational productivity of the kitchen department and its operational standards.

This role is a dynamic, staff‑facing position on a 37.5 hour week across 5 days, with no evenings, at a busy city site. It includes pension, discounts, EAP, meals on shift, cycle to work, and special benefits such as a birthday off and a volunteer day.

Qualificações

• Formal culinary training is required.
• At least 2 years in a similar production role.
• Good foundation of Health and Safety and Food Safety knowledge.
• Strong management skills with the ability to motivate a team.
• Flexibility of the role.
• Highly developed attention to detail.

Responsabilidades

• Ensure weekly staff dining menus are developed and improved regularly.
• Oversee and assist in the preparation and presentation of all meals for the staff canteen.
• Organise sections, stock and ingredients, including preparation and stock holding.
• Keep records of food production volumes, waste, stock and food cost concerns.
• Create weekly staff dining menus and assist with future menu creations.
• Manage and motivate the team.
