Job summary

Ripple is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to drive the Caspian Data Platform, Ripple's centralized lakehouse powering analytics and data-driven operations across the business.

You will own architecture for ingestion, transformation, governance, and data quality, stay hands-on, and set engineering patterns for Databricks pipelines. You’ll mentor engineers and raise overall code quality.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of data engineering experience.
• Deep mastery of Databricks — Delta Live Tables, Unity Catalog, Delta Lake, Spark.
• Ownership of ingestion, transformation, governance, and data quality across a production platform.
• Expert in SQL and Python applied to complex data modeling and tooling.
• Strong AWS experience operating data systems at scale.

Responsibilities

• Lead design of core pillars: ingestion, transformation, governance, data quality.
• Define engineering patterns and reference architectures for Databricks pipelines; write reference implementations.
• Establish data quality and governance benchmarks, contracts, lineage, validation frameworks.
