Job summary

Ripple is hiring a Senior Software Engineer, Data Engineering in London. You will design, build, and operate production ETL pipelines on Databricks, own data modeling, and drive end-to-end architecture across multiple teams.

You will mentor engineers and contribute to platform infrastructure using Terraform, while integrating AI tooling into data workflows to improve efficiency and insights across Finance, Payments, and GTM domains.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of hands-on data engineering experience building and maintaining production pipelines.
• Deep proficiency with Databricks platforms including Delta Live Tables and Unity Catalog.
• Strong SQL skills with complex transformations and data quality validation.
• Proficiency in Python for data ingestion, transformation, and testing.
• Solid AWS experience for building and operating data systems at scale.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate production ETL pipelines on Databricks using Delta Live Tables and Spark.
• Own data modeling across layers to provide reliable sources of truth for metrics.
• Drive technical design documents covering architecture, tradeoffs, and rollout plans.
• Build pipeline observability, including failure detection, alerting, and retry logic.
• Integrate AI tooling into data workflows to enable automated code generation and data access.
