Job summary

Callosum in London is seeking an Applied AI Engineer to act as the technical bridge between customer workloads and Callosum's platform. You will understand AI workloads, design evaluations, and integrate optimized workflows into customer pipelines while ensuring production reliability.

As an early member of the team, you will help shape methodology, tooling, and engagement practices the function runs on, with growth into leadership as the team scales.

Qualifications

• Exceptional technical depth demonstrated through production systems at scale, research that shipped, or early/founding roles.
• Experience with LLM serving infrastructure, agent orchestration, or retrieval systems.
• Rigour in evaluation or benchmarking work.
• A bias for action, comfort with ambiguity and strong ownership.

Responsibilities

• Engage with customer workloads from scoping to production deployment and integration.
• Design and run rigorous evaluations on customers' production workloads; set success criteria, instrument comparisons, and present results.
• Develop deep technical understanding of customer systems (retrieval pipelines, agentic workflows, code intelligence stacks) and design optimized Callosum workflows.
• Integrate Callosum workflows into customer environments and support production stability.
• Collaborate with research and platform teams to turn learnings into general product capability.
• Build the team's shared methodology: evaluation harnesses, runbooks, and engagement standards.
