Qualifications

• Experience in optimisation and search techniques.
• Ability to reason about exploration vs exploitation, diversity, pruning and objective design.
• Strong software engineering to turn experiments into reusable, measurable tools.
• Cross-disciplinary approach across optimisation, algorithms, and ML rather than relying on LLMs alone.

Responsibilities

• Develop the core program evolution loop for long optimisation runs.
• Design search strategies balancing exploration, exploitation, diversity and efficiency.
• Build continuous benchmarks to measure the optimiser across workloads.
• Turn the system into a reusable internal infrastructure scalable to new problems.
