Job summary

Taptap Send is seeking a hands-on Staff Analytics Engineer to own the dbt modelling layer and data systems used across Finance, Product, Markets and more. This senior IC role reports to the Head of Data and will set the analytics engineering bar while solving thorny modelling problems in a growing cross-border payments context.

The role is full-time with a London hub, and we welcome applicants from the UK, US, or UAE.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in a data role (Analytics Eng and/or Data Science).
• Strong SQL skills and experience with large, complex datasets in dbt.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Hands-on experience with cloud tech (AWS, GCP or Azure) and a modern cloud warehouse.
• Fluency with BI tools (Looker, Mode) and enabling self-serve data.
• Experience with Python and/or R.
• Detail-oriented with a pragmatic, can-do attitude.
• Right to work in one of advertised hubs (UK/US/UAE).

Responsibilities

• Own dbt transformation; design and build mission-critical models and tests.
• Pre-empt problems with dashboards, alerts and tooling.
• Ensure self-serve data with knowledge layer, docs and quality checks.
• Use AI tools across the modelling lifecycle and mentor the team.
• Tackle meaty domain problems via high-priority data projects.
• Champion data; peer-review code and raise data standards.
