Job summary

Acquired is seeking a Data Analytics Engineer in the UK to model warehouse data, define metrics, and partner with Commercial, Product, Finance and Engineering. You’ll own end-to-end analytics tasks, including dashboards and self-service tooling, with a focus on practical, data-driven decision making.

The role emphasizes ownership, learning new tools (dbt, Semantic Layer, Dagster, Data Studio, BigQuery ML) and close collaboration with the team to deliver impact in a payments business.

Qualifications

• Must have SQL fluency (BigQuery) and strong analytical thinking.
• Self-direction: own work with low supervision and high agency.
• Excellent communication with stakeholders and ability to set up meetings.

Responsibilities

• Modelling and maintaining warehouse models (facts, dimensions, marts).
• Define governance and metrics in the semantic layer for business use.
• Partner with Commercial, Product, Finance and Engineering to scope questions and deliver answers.
• Create dashboards and self-service tooling (Data Studio) for non-analysts.
• Document and democratise data workflows, including AI data assistant (Dot).
