WRITER is seeking a Staff Detection and Response Engineer to protect our AI infrastructure. You’ll build detection systems against AI-specific attacks and create automated responses that scale with growth.

This role blends hands-on engineering with strategic threat intelligence to defend cutting-edge AI platforms. You will work with AI Security, Cloud Infrastructure, Software Security Engineering, and researchers to implement defense-in-depth and maintain 24/7 on-call coverage for high-severity

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years in security operations, detection engineering, or incident response with a track record of stopping sophisticated attacks in production.
• 3+ years securing AI/ML infrastructure, HPC, or distributed systems at scale.
• Experience with SIEM platforms, detection tech, and forensic investigations.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement detection strategies for AI-specific threats (prompt injection, model extraction, data poisoning, adversarial examples, unauthorized access).
• Build automated response playbooks and workflows to contain threats with minimal human intervention.
• Lead security incident response coordination across Cloud, AppSec, Enterprise, and AI Security teams; conduct forensic investigations.
