Qualifications

• 5+ years in detection and response, security engineering, or security-focused software engineering.
• Strong software fundamentals with Python/Go/Ruby in production code.
• Cloud experience (AWS preferred) with security services like CloudTrail, GuardDuty, VPC logs.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain detection-as-code across cloud, SaaS, endpoints, and identity systems.
• Automate investigation and response workflows to replace manual runbooks.
• Develop AI/LLM-powered tooling to accelerate investigations and reduce alert fatigue.
• Lead and participate in incident response, including post-incident retrospectives.
• Collaborate with engineering to improve observability and embed detections in the development lifecycle.
• Tune alert performance and build feedback loops between incidents and detections.
