Job summary

Lancashire Cricket Club is seeking an on-site Maintenance Assistant to support painting, decorating and general upkeep at Emirates Old Trafford. You will undertake both planned and reactive maintenance to keep the stadium and hotel presented to a high standard.

The role requires practical hands-on work, independent initiative, and experience in a busy FM maintenance environment, including plumbing-related tasks and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Painting & Decorating is required.
• Experience in painting and decorating in a similar environment is essential.
• Trained on high working, PASMA, ladder use.

Responsibilities

• Carry out internal and external painting and decorating across Hotel and Stadium.
• Prepare surfaces, match colours, apply paint and manage stock of paints.
• Support with planned maintenance and reactive tasks to keep facilities safe and presentable.
• Assist with general maintenance tasks outside painting and decorating as needed.
• Support event setups and cooperate with contractors when required.

Independence / self-motivated

General handyman across trades

FM maintenance team experience

Plumbing systems experience

Education

NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Painting & Decorating

Trained on high working incl. PASMA/Ladder

Certificates in operating machinery (FLT, IPAF, PASMA, L8)
