Job summary

QS Recruitment Ltd is seeking an experienced Class 1 HGV Driver for a busy operation in Stallingborough, UK. The role focuses on safe, efficient transport of varied freight across the UK, with daily checks and records maintained to company standards.

You will drive modern Class 1 (C+E) vehicles, load and secure goods, and deliver to multiple customer sites while adhering to UK regulations. Long-term temporary position with regular weekday hours.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 1 (C+E) HGV licence.
• Minimum 1 year’s Class 1 HGV driving experience.
• Valid Driver CPC.
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card.
• Good understanding of UK road networks.
• Experience with tramping or trunking desirable.
• Experience working at a port would be an advantage.
• Ability to complete vehicle checks and maintain high safety standards.
• Professional and reliable approach to work.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Flexibility to undertake overnight stays when required.

Responsibilities

• Driving modern Class 1 (C+E) vehicles throughout the UK.
• Transporting a variety of freight and loads.
• Making deliveries to a wide range of customer locations and sites.
• Carrying out daily vehicle checks and ensuring vehicles are operated safely.
• Safely securing and transporting loads in line with company procedures.
• Completing delivery paperwork and digital tachograph records accurately.
• Maintaining a professional and courteous approach with customers and sites.
• Complying with UK driving legislation, Drivers' Hours and Working Time Regulations.
• Ensuring all company policies and health & safety procedures are followed.
