Job summary

Carlsberg Britvic is seeking a Stability Lead Technologist to drive stability testing across new product development and the existing portfolio. You will combine science, data and cross-functional collaboration to influence product quality and shelf-life decisions.

The role focuses on developing robust testing programmes, interpreting results, and delivering actionable recommendations that shape the future of our beverages.

Qualifications

• Degree in a scientific discipline with STEM relevance.
• Experience in product development, technical, laboratory, research or testing environments.
• Strong understanding of chemistry and physical product behaviour.
• Able to manage projects independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management to lead technically.

Responsibilities

• Lead stability testing programmes for new product development and existing products.
• Design and improve stability testing methodologies (sensory, analytical, microbiological, accelerated).
• Generate insights through data analysis to optimise formulations and processes.
• Maintain a central stability database for trend analysis and knowledge sharing.
• Collaborate with Innovation, Product Development, Sensory, Analytical and Pilot Plant teams.

About The Role

Play a pivotal role in ensuring our drinks consistently deliver the quality and experience consumers expect. Combining science, innovation and data-driven insight, you'll lead stability testing programmes that support both exciting new product launches and our established portfolio of iconic brands. This is a fantastic opportunity for a technically curious scientist who enjoys solving complex challenges, influencing cross-functional projects, and turning analytical results into meaningful recommendations that shape the future of our products.

Role Responsibilities

• Lead and manage stability testing programmes for new product development and existing products, ensuring products meet quality, safety and shelf-life requirements.
• Design, implement and continuously improve stability testing methodologies, including sensory, analytical, microbiological and accelerated testing techniques.
• Generate scientific insights through data analysis, helping to optimise formulations, ingredients, processes and product performance.
• Develop and maintain a central stability database, supporting trend analysis, knowledge sharing and predictive modelling capabilities.
• Work closely with Innovation, Product Development, Sensory, Analytical and Pilot Plant teams to support product development and commercialisation projects.
• Lead and contribute to cross-functional projects, ensuring technical quality requirements are met throughout the product lifecycle.
• Build strong relationships with suppliers, research institutions and technical experts to drive innovation and best practice.
• Communicate technical findings and recommendations clearly to stakeholders, influencing decision-making and project direction.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and provide technical guidance to colleagues within the stability and quality functions.

Experience And Key Attributes

• Degree in a scientific discipline such as Chemistry, Physics, Food Science, Microbiology, Chemical Engineering or a related STEM subject.
• Previous industry experience within product development, technical, laboratory, research or testing environments.
• Strong scientific understanding of chemistry and physical product behaviour, with experience evaluating product performance or stability.
• Self-motivated and capable of independently managing projects and priorities, while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to act as the technical lead and representative for the function.
• Experience developing, conducting or supporting testing programmes, trials, prototypes or research activities.
• Strong analytical and data interpretation skills, with the ability to translate findings into practical recommendations and action plans.
