Job summary

Good Growth, operating within the Mayor’s Infrastructure Coordination Service, is inviting applications for a lead role to establish the UK’s first SuDS Market. You will steer a 7-person team, align stakeholders including Thames Water, and drive market and governance development across surface water management and infrastructure delivery.

The role requires robust strategic thinking, partnership building and the ability to navigate complex political environments to deliver high-impact outcomes

Qualifications

• Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams and engaging with stakeholders.
• Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Strong programme and project management skills with delivery to time and budget.

Responsibilities

• Leading a multi-disciplinary team, ensuring team members have the resources to carry out their work.
• Providing strategic direction across the SSM’s workstreams and managing risks.
• Securing a cross-organisational setup with Thames Water and ensuring clear accountability.
• Developing relationships with lead local flood authorities, utilities and regulators.
• Producing reports, case studies and best-practice guidance for infrastructure delivery.
• Overseeing the SSM budget and work programme, including external consultants.
