Job summary

Shire Services is seeking an enthusiastic Catering Manager for a busy secondary school. You will oversee food preparation, stock management, and the kitchen team, with responsibility for food presentation and service setup.

You will ensure compliance and allergen management, lead service to pupils and staff, and maintain high hygiene standards. The role is Monday to Friday, 7:30am to 2:30pm, term time with three additional cleaning days, totalling 35 hours per week across 44.98 weeks per year.

Qualifications

• Experience in school catering (preferred).
• Ability to lead a kitchen team and liaise with school administration.
• Strong knowledge of food safety and allergen management.

Responsibilities

• Oversee food preparation, stock management and kitchen operations.
• Ensure high standards of food presentation and service setup.
• Lead compliance, allergen management and hygiene practices.

Job description

Term time with 3 additional cleaning days.
