Job summary

Thetford Academy, part of Inspiration Trust, seeks an outstanding SRB Lead Teacher to helm the SEMH Specialist Resource Base within a mainstream secondary setting. You will lead a team delivering tailored support and high-quality specialist provision to help pupils flourish academically, socially and emotionally.

Working with the SENDCo and school community, you will manage a skilled team, promote inclusion, and ensure high standards of safeguarding.

Qualifications

• An appropriate degree and qualifications required for the award of QTS.
• QTS is required; PGCE or equivalent preferred.
• Experience delivering high-standard teaching in the relevant education phase.
• Knowledge of SEN CoP (2015) and the Equality Act 2010; safeguarding responsibilities.
• Experience leading or working within a specialist resource base; multi-agency collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Lead the SRB to deliver outstanding teaching, learning and specialist SEND provision.
• Deliver a broad and ambitious curriculum, adapting to individual educational needs and EHCP requirements.
• Develop personalised learning plans with pupils, parents and carers.
• Monitor pupil progress and evaluate interventions to maximise outcomes.
• Support effective transitions into, within and beyond the SRB.
• Build partnerships with parents, carers, external agencies and professionals.
• Lead and support teaching staff within the SRB and promote CPD.
• Maintain safeguarding, behaviour, attendance and pupil wellbeing standards.
