Job description

JP Marketing seeks an experienced and driven Sr. Program Manager for Amazon Associates to join our Category & Channel Marketing team. This role serves as the primary liaison with the WW Global Program Management Team, overseeing the comprehensive JP Creators Program and compensation strategy.

Your responsibilities will encompass managing Associate Central (the creator's main portal), creator tools, payment modeling and systems, regulatory compliance, feature implementation, and program enhancements. As a program leader, you will expertly balance business needs against technical constraints while working closely with stakeholders across design, software, and business teams to identify and drive innovative solutions that achieve business goals and align with our long-term program roadmap.

The ideal candidate possesses a strong understanding of affiliate marketing industry, technology, incentive modeling, and analytics. Success in this role demands passion for affiliate marketing, deep diving into data, and delivering exceptional customer experiences.

Key job responsibilities
  1. Compensation Strategy: Lead the development and execution of creator compensation strategies, including experimental design and implementation to drive program growth.
  2. Product Roadmap Management: Drive the Amazon Associate Program's product roadmap by aligning business strategies and priorities with technical requirements while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  3. Product Localization Management: Oversee the localization and implementation support for Associate Program products and tools, including APIs, Datafeeds, and Reporting Interfaces.
  4. Request and Issue Management: Prioritize the intake and efficiently manage the backlog of program requests and issues through established tracking and resolution processes.
  5. Technical Support: Provide comprehensive technical support to customers while analyzing complex issues and proposing optimal solutions.
  6. Process Improvement: Apply continuous improvement methodologies to analyze, understand, and enhance existing program management processes and workflows.
A day in the life

Based on the strategy and goals you have established, your daily responsibilities include: (1) managing product localization projects for the Associates Program, including the portal site for creators, APIs, data feeds, and reporting interfaces; (2) providing technical support and solutions to creators while monitoring program performance and identifying improvement opportunities; (3) contributing to business documentation such as WBRs (Weekly Business Review) and QBRs (Quarterly Business Review), and participating in review meetings to present program performance to JP and WW stakeholders; and (4) driving product roadmap development and process improvements, while balancing business priorities with technical requirements to achieve annual goals (OP1, OP2).

About the team

Associates Program team focuses on expanding our affiliate marketing partner coverage and activities, and Product Sales and Profit Margin from partner activities are our main KPI. The team has business development, marketing management, and program management functions locally in JP. Associates Program Manager will work closely with Mass Marketing team, Sales Event team, Legal team, Customer Service team and WW Associates teams, to engage with our customer through media partners to drive transaction performance growth. Associates Program Manager reports to Head of Associates who reports to Head of Category & Channel Marketing.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 5+ years of program or project management experience
- Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
- Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams
- Knowledge of Excel at an intermediate level (e.g., pivot tables & charts, multiple criteria lookups, nested logical/IF formulas, data cleansing, array formulas, etc.)
- Fluency both in Japanese and English

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Previous experience managing entire program or technical projects in affiliate marketing space.
