Role/Department

The successful candidate will be expected to manage and deliver the reporting needs of a global private equity firm, developing the Accounting Team and maintaining relationships with clients, auditors, and third parties. Responsibilities include reviewing, assisting, and preparing various deliverables such as audited financial statements, management accounts, tax information, and ad-hoc reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Leading by example: Demonstrate professionalism to foster an environment of participation, teamwork, and communication, ensuring high-quality service.
  2. Communication: Maintain effective communication with clients, auditors, and internal teams through meetings and updates.
  3. Team Development: Enhance team skills via training, coaching, and performance evaluations, keeping procedures up-to-date.
  4. Organization: Establish and adhere to timelines for deliverables, coordinate system/process improvements, and prioritize tasks.
  5. Technical Knowledge: Provide guidance on accounting issues, complex transactions, and share expertise with the team and clients.
  6. Pro forma Accounts: Design compliant pro forma accounts as required.
  7. Account Preparation: Oversee financial reporting, review work, and present to the Board if needed.
  8. Statutory Filing & Outsourced Jurisdictions: Ensure filings are timely and review outsourced financial reports.
  9. Client Reporting & Other Deliverables: Manage ad-hoc queries, fund valuations, distributions, and calculations.
  10. Internal Reporting: Complete internal reports as required.
Skills & Qualifications
  • Accounting qualification (ACA or ACCA preferred); familiarity with UK GAAP or IFRS.
  • Understanding of Guernsey Company/POI/Partnership laws and current developments.
  • Excellent communication skills, confident in engaging with senior stakeholders.
  • Proven leadership and management experience.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Advanced Excel skills; knowledge of Investran is an advantage.
  • Team player, self-starter, adaptable, and able to work under pressure.
