City of Glasgow College is seeking an SVQ Assessor to evaluate Electrical Engineering qualifications on a permanent basis, guiding and supporting learners as they work through National Occupational Standards at Level 3. You will be an experienced engineer with CPD, strong communication skills, and the ability to engage with candidates and employers to drive progression.
A relevant assessor/verifier qualification is desirable or obtainable within six months.

We are recruiting an SVQ Assessor to assess the following qualifications on a permanent basis: Electrical Engineering.
As an SVQ Assessor, you will play a key role in the development of candidates, assessing them against National Occupational Standards at Level 3.
You will be an experienced professional within the Engineering sector, with the ability to prioritise work and meet deadlines with little supervision. You will be proactive, flexible, and committed to CPD and the success of students.
The ideal applicant will have relevant qualifications in the above sector, as well as broad, demonstrable experience in related disciplines.
A relevant assessor/verifier qualification (D32/33 or A1) would be desirable, or a willingness to undertake this within the first six months of being in post.
As an experienced Engineer, it is your occupational knowledge and practical experience that are key to this role in ensuring that our future engineers learn best practice, both theoretically and practically, to industry standards.
