MMC is seeking a candidate for SQL Server Database Administrator to work from Birmingham or Bristol office on a hybrid schedule of 3 days a week in office.

Responsibilities include:

• Working independently with minimal supervision.
• Collaborating with offshore teams for smooth work handovers.
• Resolving configuration and performance issues.
• Understanding active-active cluster and disaster recovery failover processes.
• Participating in on-call rotations, with flexible working hours.

Minimum requirements:

• Experience with SQL Server 2016 or higher.
• Experience installing and configuring SQL Server, SSRS, SSIS, and SSAS.
• Knowledge of capacity planning, backup and recovery, and TDE implementation.
• Experience with index tuning, performance monitoring, and scripting with T-SQL and PowerShell.
• Understanding of active-active clustering, data partitioning, and troubleshooting.

Preferred skills:

• Knowledge of disaster recovery tools and processes.
• Ability to solve complex problems and communicate effectively.
