Job summary

eTeam is seeking a SQL Production Engineer for Glasgow to provide hands-on production support in a banking environment. The role requires strong experience with Linux/Unix/Windows, Java, SQL and PL/SQL, plus AWS cloud deployments and scheduling tools such as Autosys and Netcool.

Candidates should be familiar with CI/CD workflows using GitHub or Bitbucket, and ITIL concepts. Shell scripting and observability tools are advantageous for effective backend workflow management.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of production support experience with Linux/Unix/Windows, Java, SQL and PL/SQL.
• Hands-on AWS cloud deployment and cloud formation experience.
• Scheduling tools including Autosys and Netcool experience.
• GitHub or Bitbucket for CI/CD experience.
• Familiarity with ITIL concepts (Incidents, Problems, Change, Service delivery).
• Shell scripting and backend workflow troubleshooting skills.

Role Title: SQL Production Engineer

Location: Glasgow

Pay Rate: £246 per day all inc. (PAYE through Umbrella)

Days on site: 2-3 days onsite/week

Role Description:

• 5 years hands on experience in production support environments with applications using Linux/Unix/Windows , Java, SQL , PL/SQL.
• Hands on experience in service administrations and cloud formation, deployments in Cloud architecture AWS.
• Should have worked on Scheduling and Event management tools including Autosys, Netcool.
• Experience in GITHUB, Bitbucket or other enterprise source control tool for CI/CD.
• Experience in managing and tracking work using management tools like SF, LCT.
• Preferred to have understanding on ITIL concepts including Incidents, Problems, Change, Service delivery, transitions, etc.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills for backend workflow management processes, batch management and Shell scripting.
• Understanding on Resiliency test (DR) and having exposure to resiliency workflow management tools like Cutover.
• Candidate having worked in Observability tools like AppD, APM would be preferred.
• Experience in ServiceNow hosted app support will be added skills
