Overview

We are seeking a SQL Developer for a permanent career opportunity based in Derby. Join an established and growing software company that develops data solutions for major Retail brands. The role requires full-time presence in the Derby office, with an ideal start in Spring/Summer 2025.

Key Responsibilities

1. Design, develop, and maintain SQL-based solutions supporting core business applications.
2. Build and optimize data pipelines and integrations across cloud platforms.
3. Apply strong hands-on SQL development skills, including MS SQL Server, T-SQL, indexing, stored procedures, relational/dimensional modelling, and data dashboards.
4. Utilize cloud platform experience such as Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, Azure SQL.
5. Collaborate closely with stakeholders including data architects, analysts, testers, and managers.
6. Manage the full SQL development lifecycle: design, development, documentation, and testing.
7. Additional skills that are advantageous include Power BI, NoSQL, Azure Synapse, data visualisation tools, Data Lakes, streaming technologies, MDM, Git, and DevOps pipelines.
