Job Overview

SQL Developer needed for a permanent career opportunity based in Derby. Join an established and growing software business that develops data solutions for large retail brands. Must be willing to work from the Derby office full-time. Start ideally in Spring/Summer 2025.

Key Experience and Responsibilities
  1. Designing, developing, and maintaining SQL-based solutions that power core business applications.
  2. Building and optimising data pipelines and integrations across cloud platforms.
  3. Strong hands-on SQL development skills including MS SQL Server, T-SQL, indexing, stored procedures, relational/dimensional modelling, and data dashboards.
  4. Experience with cloud platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, Azure SQL is helpful.
  5. Collaborating closely with stakeholders including data architects, analysts, testers, and managers.
  6. Managing the full SQL development lifecycle: design, development, documentation, and testing.
