Job summary

Integral UK is seeking an experienced sprinkler design engineer to lead design development for Main Contract projects in the Manchester region. You will coordinate with client representatives and other contracts to deliver fully designed schemes and associated drawings.

You will monitor design programmes against construction schedules, prepare hydraulic calculations, and issue all completion documents and certifications. Travel and occasional nights away may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience in design engineering for sprinkler systems (essential)
• Familiarity with LPC BS EN 12845 (essential)
• Autocad proficiency (essential); Revit 3D (desirable)
• Knowledge of Factory Mutual Standards (essential)
• Knowledge of NFPA standards (desirable)
• Driving licence required
• Willingness to travel and stay away occasionally

Responsibilities

• Develop sprinkler system designs coordinating with clients and other contracts
• Monitor design programme against construction schedule and specs
• Prepare complete working drawings and hydraulic calculations
• Issue completion documents and certification
• Coordinate information from site, architects, consultants and trades
• Attend site meetings on design matters as needed
• Source materials: procurement, variations, schedules of rates
• Liaise with suppliers/subcontractors for drawings and quantities
• Follow company policies and procedures
