Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated in Manchester seeks an experienced sprinkler design engineer to lead design on Main Contract projects. You will coordinate with clients and other trades, develop complete working drawings, and perform hydraulic calculations.

The role requires AutoCAD expertise, familiarity with LPCB and NFPA standards, and the ability to manage drawings through to procurement. The job involves travel, site meetings, and mentoring junior staff, with a competitive salary and

Qualifications

Comprehensive design engineering experience in sprinkler systems.
Familiarity with LPCB standards and hydraulic calculations.
Experience with AutoCAD is essential.
Knowledge of NFPA standards is desirable.

Responsibilities

Develop sprinkler system design coordinating with clients and other service contracts through to final scheme.
Monitor design programme against construction programme and specifications.
Issue completion documents and certifications.
Gather information from clients, architects, consultants and trades for fully designed drawings.
Attend site meetings and contribute to design discussions.
Prepare working drawings and establish pipe sizes by hydraulic calculations.
List materials for procurement, estimates and schedules; forward drawings to suppliers and subcontractors.
Order materials and monitor equipment levels.
Perform duties as directed by Project/Design Manager.
Comply with company policies and procedures.
